Government Holdings Limited Jobs 2023 – Career Opportunities

Government Holdings Private Limited (GHPL) has published a job advertisement in the daily Express Tribune newspaper on 21st May 2023, inviting applications for the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer based in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Qualification:

Applicants should hold a recognized University degree in Engineering, Earth Sciences, or a postgraduate degree in Finance and Business Administration. Alternatively, candidates who are members of a professional accounting body may also apply. Preference will be given to those with additional professional qualifications relevant to the management and control of large commercial organizations in the upstream/downstream Oil and Gas Sector.

Experience:

A minimum of 20 years of post-qualification relevant experience is required, with the last 5 years spent in a senior management role. Experience in the management of oil & gas exploration & production and the mineral sector will be advantageous. Candidates with a foreign degree and international experience will also be preferred.

Age Limit:

Maximum 50 years on closing date of application.

Knowledge of Operating Environment: Deep understanding of regulatory, commercial and energy sector environment in which the company operates. Ability to engage effectively with public institutions, stakeholders and joint venture partners.

Strong Intellect and Effective Leadership: Should be demonstrable with exceptional interpersonal skills. The candidate must be able to work with the Board to develop and articulate clear strategic direction; and evaluate potential outcomes and plan effective implementation with a clear focus on delivery.

How to Apply

1. The candidate will be appointed in accordance with the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance & Operations) Act 2023 and relevant rules/guidelines/procedures.
2. The selected candidate will receive a performance-based contract for three years with a competitive compensation package and other benefits based on their experience. The position is based in Islamabad.
