Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) is a prominent public sector power utility that caters to more than 6.04 million consumers through a workforce of around 20 thousand employees. LESCO is currently looking for a highly competent and dynamic professional with relevant experience to fill the following position: Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO).
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CITO will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s information technology strategy and operations. This senior executive will oversee the implementation of technology solutions that align with the Company’s Business Objectives, enhance efficiency, and improve the overall Customer Experience.
The Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) will have the following major responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive information technology policy and strategy that aligns with LESCO’s objectives and goals.
- Supervise the management of LESCO’s information systems, including hardware, software, and data centers. Offer IT support for ERP and other digital automation technologies. Collaborate with other directorates of LESCO to incorporate technology into their operations and procedures.
- Ensure the protection and accessibility of information systems and data by implementing cybersecurity measures.
- Manage the IT budget and allocate resources proficiently to support the successful delivery of technology initiatives.
- Keep close coordination with PITC and any other vendors for the deployment and development of applications designed and developed by them.
- Stay updated with industry advancements and trends and propose new technologies that can benefit the Company.
- Guarantee that technology solutions are adaptable, dependable, and comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Develop and manage an efficient IT team. Foster and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and regulators.
A Master’s/Bachelor’s (Hons) Degree or an equivalent qualification in Computer Sciences, Information Technology/Software Engineering, which is equivalent to 16 years of education from an HEC recognized University/Institution, is required for this position. Additionally, candidates with notable professional certifications in IT & Management, such as PMP, CISM, CITM, ITMLP, will have an added advantage.
Experience & Skills:
- At least 10 years of experience in the IT field in medium to large organizations.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as Chief Technology Officer/Head of IT/MIS.
- Proficiency in IT design, development, and implementation.
- Hands-on experience in implementing organization-wide digital solutions and automation based on SAP/Oracle, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Prior experience in building outstanding business intelligence platforms for managing large customer bases.
- Strong interpersonal and team building skills.
Remuneration, Age & Contract Terms:
The selected candidates will receive a competitive and market-based remuneration package along with other benefits. The maximum age limit for applicants is 55 years at the time of advertisement closing. The employment will be on an open contract with a lump sum pay package, and a probation period of six months will be applicable.
