Age:

Maximum 57 years on the last date of application submission

Educational/Professional Qualification:

Candidates should possess a minimum Master’s degree from a recognized local or international university, college, or institute, preferably in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, or an equivalent field. The qualification should be recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Experience:

• Minimum 22 years of experience in the banking sector, including at least 8 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience in managing international franchise/operations for a bank is an added advantage.

Other Skills/Expertise/Knowledge Required:

• Strong understanding of international banking trends and local regulations
• Excellent statistical and quantitative analytical skills, particularly in market, credit, and operational risk
• Proficiency in SBP Prudential Regulations
• Ability to effectively liaise with SBP, external auditors, and related institutions
• Sound financial analytical skills
• Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities

Outline of Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work with senior management and group chiefs to enable the bank’s overall strategy
• Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports, including country/general managers at international branches
• Allocate, monitor, and follow up on annual business targets and deposit targets for foreign branches
• Implement strategic business plans and annual budgets at international branches/subsidiaries
• Manage and enhance the bank’s business portfolio through liability growth, profitability, and assets/advances portfolio
• Develop and maintain a reliable database for generating MIS reports, tracking the bank’s portfolio in different sectors and monitoring classified/regular portfolio mix
• Monitor outstanding entries, internal branch reconciliation, and maintenance of funds at international branches
• Analyze and review the quality of existing business to maximize profitability
• Acquire new business within defined market segments
• Manage matters related to the opening/closure of international branches/subsidiaries/representative offices
• Process and monitor credit proposals, rescheduling/restructuring, and non-performing loans of international branches/subsidiaries
• Ensure compliance with banking laws, regulations, instructions, and procedures at international branches
• Oversee performance and administrative matters related to staff at international branches
• Fulfill any other responsibilities assigned by the competent authority

Assessment Interview(s): Only shortlisted candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be invited for panel interviews.

Employment Type: Contractual basis for three years, renewable at the discretion of the management. The selected candidate will receive a compensation package and other benefits in accordance with the bank’s policy/rules.
