To align with our strategic objectives, NBP is seeking a talented, dedicated, and experienced professional to join us in the role of Group Chief Human Resource Management Group. This position will be based in Karachi, the economic hub of Pakistan.

Age:

Maximum 57 years on the last date of application submission

Educational/Professional Qualification:

Minimum Master’s from a recognized local or international university/college/institute, preferably in Human Resource/Public Administration. Candidates with HR certifications such as SHRM, CHRP, etc. will have an added advantage.

Experience:

Minimum 22 years of working experience, with at least 5 years as Head of HR or 8 years in a senior leadership role in HR. The experience should be with a bank, financial sector, multinational, or large-sized organization.

Other Skills/Expertise/Knowledge Required:

  • Partnered cultural transformation and introduced HR best practices from comparable corporate sectors.
  • Promoted a performance culture and built strong relationships.
  • In-depth understanding of public sector work culture.
  • Experience in developing/implementing capacity building initiatives for employees.
  • Experience in dealing with a unionized environment and handling trade union/officers association issues, including negotiation of Collective Labor Agreements.

Outline of Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop organizational strategies by identifying HR challenges and realigning them with business objectives.
  • Implement HR strategies, including talent acquisition, rewards management, compensation & benefits, succession planning, employee relations, organization effectiveness, learning & development, HR governance, and labor relations.
  • Review and align performance management systems with modern best practices, promoting a performance-driven culture.
  • Oversee HR operations, providing efficient and timely HR services and solutions to stakeholders.
  • Drive HR digitalization and system automation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, enhance internal control environment, and conduct briefing and training sessions to build awareness.
  • Support management and functional Group Chiefs/Heads in resolving employee queries, grievances, and HR-related issues.
  • Focus on employee engagement, inclusion, and diversity, investing in systems for robust HR service delivery.
  • Provide HR advice, counsel, and decisions to support management.
  • Develop and update policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines, communicating and enforcing organizational values.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, provincial/local legal requirements, advising management on necessary actions.
  • Oversee all aspects of HR practices and operations to meet evolving business needs.
  • Facilitate strategic planning, change management, and organizational design to build a positive image.
  • Drive learning and development initiatives aligned with best market practices. Assessment Interview(s): Only shortlisted candidates strictly meeting the eligibility criteria will be invited for panel interviews. Employment Type: Contractual basis for three years, subject to renewal at the discretion of the management. The selected candidate will receive a compensation package and other benefits as per the Bank’s Policy/rules.
