Chief Risk Officer Jobs 2023 – Bank of Khyber (BOK)

Job Opportunity: Chief Risk Officer at Bank of Khyber (BOK) in 2023. The Bank of Khyber is actively searching for a highly skilled and results-driven individual to join as the Chief Risk Officer for Islamabad. Eligibility Criteria:

• The minimum education requirement for this position is a Bachelor’s degree. However, preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or any equivalent discipline from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. For candidates with foreign qualifications in the aforementioned fields, an equivalency certificate from HEC of Pakistan is required. Additionally, holding a membership of a Professional Accounting Body, CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), FRM (Financial Risk Manager), or any relevant certification in Risk Management will be considered as an added qualification.
• Applicants should have a minimum of 15 years of working experience in Credit and Risk Management within the financial industry, with at least 5 years of relevant experience at a senior level. Candidates who currently hold the position of heading the overall Risk Management function in a bank are exempt from the aforementioned experience criteria.
• Furthermore, candidates must meet the criteria outlined in the “Fit and Proper Test” conducted by the State Bank of Pakistan.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee all aspects of risk functions within the bank, which includes credit risk as well as enterprise-wide risks such as market and liquidity risk, operational risk, and other legal, financial, and reputational risks. The incumbent will be responsible for developing, facilitating, and implementing systems and procedures for identifying, analyzing, measuring, and managing risks. Additionally, formulating and reviewing credit and risk policies and procedures and effectively communicating them, with the approval of the Board of Directors when necessary, will be part of the role. The Chief Risk Officer will also undertake any other risk management tasks assigned by the CEO or the Board.

This position is based in Peshawar, and a competitive remuneration package will be offered in line with the market standards.
