National Transmission & Despatch Company (NTDC) Jobs 2023, a public limited Company incorporated under the Companies Ordinance 1984 (Now Companies Act, 2017), owns and operates the high voltage transmission system in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the AJK. NTDC has advertised a job vacancy for the position of Chief Secretary Officer in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. The Company is seeking applications from energetic and experienced candidates who are citizens of Pakistan and AJK. The position is on a contract basis, extendable on satisfactory performance but not to be regularized at any stage.

Required Qualification & Experience

The ideal candidate should have retired from a position equivalent to BS-20 in either the Pakistan Civil or Military Armed Forces, preferably from fighting arms. Additionally, the candidate should have a robust medical condition categorized as “A” and a proven track record of leading from the front while maintaining strong bonds with the personnel under their command. Experience in intelligence gathering and analysis will be an added advantage. The upper age limit for the candidate is 55 years.

• They should also demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a forward-thinking approach to implementing digital technologies into the company’s security systems.
• Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills are essential, along with a proactive mindset to anticipate and prevent security breaches.

Reporting Channel

The Chief Security Officer will be responsible for reporting to the Managing Director of NTDC or any other authorized personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities of Chief Security Officer at NTDC

• Ensure security of all NTDC properties, assets and installations including Grid Stations and Transmission Lines.
• Liaison with all local security/law enforcement agencies.
• Ensure/impart relevant trainings/skills to the security staff under his command.
• Direct, monitor and control all activities related to security in NTDC to ensure that the laid down procedures are followed to protect the organization’s assets.
• Assess security risks faced by the NTDC and facilitate and monitor the implementation of effective security risk management practices.
• Ensure execution and implementation of policies on security matters through regional Deputy Managers (Security).
• Maintain liaison with the government agencies related to security through Federal Inspection Team/Provincial Survey Team.
• Keep Managing Director abreast about security issues of NTDC and identify weak areas of security.
• Act as advisor/coordinator for Ministry of Energy on all security related matters of NTDC.
• Represent or nominate representative of NTDC at meetings held with key point intelligence division, agencies of Federal/ Provincial Government with respect to security of installations/formations of NTDC.
• Ensure that Government of Pakistan directives on security of foreigners are being implemented as required.
