The Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR) has announced job vacancies in its 21 April 2023 advertisement in the daily Express Newspaper. Interested Pakistani nationals are invited to apply for these positions on a purely contract basis for one year, which may be extended based on performance under the PSDP project titled “Medical Equipment & Devices Innovation Centre (MEDICen).” The project positions are available at PCSIR Head Office, Islamabad, and Peshawar on a lump-sum (PPS) basis. The available positions include Assistant Procurement Officer, Research Officer, Sweeper, UDC, Accounts Officer, Engineer, Driver, Technical Manager, IT Staff, Technician, Naib Qasid, Assistant Accounts Officer, and Scientific Officer in Islamabad, Islamabad Pakistan.

Preference will be given to candidates holding educational qualifications such as MBA, B.E, M.Sc, DAE, MPhil, CA, Ph.D., BIT, M.Com, MS, ACCA, B.Com, BA, BCS, Matric, Middle, Primary, and others.

Eligibility Criteria/ How to Apply?

1. Candidates with relevant experience and good work ethics will be given preference for the project positions. PCSIR is an equal opportunity provider and selection will be made purely on merit basis. Applicants are required to submit a complete application supported by a CV and attested copies of CNIC, Domicile Certificate, Education Degrees/Certificates, and a recent passport size photograph. Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
2. Government servants are required to apply through proper channel and age relaxation will be given as per the rule. The application form can be downloaded from the PCSIR website. The selected candidates may be placed at any project site as per the requirement of project activity/plan.
3. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview, and no TA/DA will be provided. At the time of the interview, candidates must bring their original educational documents, experience certificates, domicile certificate, and other relevant documents if any.
4. The project posts are purely on contract basis (PPS) for a stipulated period, and there is no possibility of being regularized. Upon completion of the project, these positions will automatically be abolished, and no claim for regularization on these posts will be entertained.
5. The selection committee reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications without assigning any reason and cancel recruitment to any/all post(s) or withhold the appointment against the advertised post if no suitable candidate is found.
